Our Mission
The Office of Residence Life & Housing, within the Division of Student Development, is dedicated to your personal and intellectual growth. We strive to provide safe, inclusive environments and innovative programming that helps you build meaningful relationships throughout your college journey.
Residency Requirements
University Housing includes all residences managed by the Office of Residence Life & Housing on the St. Davids campus.
- Who Lives Here: Housing is primarily designed for full-time Traditional Undergraduate Baccalaureate Students (TUBS).
- The Requirement: Living on campus is a core part of the Eastern experience. All full-time TUBS students are required to live on campus and participate in a Room & Board (Meal Plan) program unless they meet specific commuting criteria.

The Housing Process
To begin, select Housing Application & Commuter Request in the burgundy banner and click Apply for the upcoming academic year.
Step 1: Select Your Intention
Choose the option that matches your plans to be directed to the correct form:
- I wish to live on campus
- I wish to apply for commuter status
- I wish to study abroad
Step 2: Complete the Application
If you are living on campus, you must finish all sections below for your application to be valid:
- Personal Details: Verify your info. Email registrar@eastern.edu to report any errors.
- Accommodations: List any specific housing or meal plan needs, please click here to view Policies and Procedures: Office of Disability & Access (ODA)
- Room & Meal Plan: Select your preferred room type and meal plan.
- Housing Contract: Review carefully and sign electronically.
- Roommate Matching: Complete the questionnaire to help us find a good fit.
- Roommate Selection: Request a specific person or click Save & Continue to skip.
Note: Most rooms are double occupancy. If you do not select a specific roommate, one will be assigned to you based on your matching profile.
Step 3: Submission
Once you reach the Application Summary page, your form is officially complete.
Confirmation: You will receive an automated email shortly after finishing to confirm that your application has been successfully submitted.
